ToolThings Test Drive - Readme.txt - 7/29/94

Just a few "Things":

SETUP:

Required:  Visual Basic 3.0, VBRUN300.DLL and CMDIALOG.VBX

You set up the ToolThings Test Drive just like you would
with any other good Windows software.

You must be running MS Windows 3.1, and have Visual Basic 3.0
on your system, as the demo will not work without VB.  Close
all programs in Windows, other than the Program Manager.  This 
insures that any supporting files that ToolThings Test Drive
needs will be properly copied over to your machine.

Make sure all files contained in the archive file are 
contained in the same directory on your hard disk drive BEFORE
starting the setup procedure. From the Program Manager choose 
the "Run" menu option from the PM's File Menu, and in the 
"Command Line:" box, type: 

                     <Drive:\PATH>\setup.exe

and choose "OK."  ToolThings' Test Drive setup will commence.
You may also run the setup.exe file from the File Manager.

Follow the instructions in the setup, and the demo will be
installed where directed on your hard disk drive.

RUNNING THE TEST DRIVE:

PLEASE NOTE THAT VB CANNOT BE LOADED WHEN YOU START THE DEMO.

When you run the ttdemo app, VB will automatically be loaded.
You can use the Nudge Thing, your exciting control alignment 
tool.  None of the capabilities of Nudge Thing have been 
crippled for the demo.  It is a fully functioning application.

HOWEVER, there are restrictions!  Although you can use all of 
Nudge Thing's features, you CANNOT save or print any of the 
forms you create during the demo.  You cannot edit any item
in the property window either.

Each button in Nudge Thing has a tool tip, and tips can be
toggled on or off.  Try all of the features.  We're sure you'll
agree that Nudge Thing is the most comprehensive alignment
tool available for VB, and it's only one tenth of this great
VB tool set!

the Test Drive's "Action" menu.

DISTRIBUTING THE TTDEMO.ZIP FILE:

The file is a pkzipped archive which contains all of the 
files necessary to run the demo, except for cmdialog.vbx and 
vbrun300.dll, which the VB user will already have on their
system.  The file also contains a similar readme.txt file, but
one specifically written for the distributable demo file.

Although the file contains all the necessary description files,
you may have to create a description of the file when you 
upload it.  Please use the following description, or something
VERY similar.  Feel free to embellish, though!
